Rethvale Systems (“Rethvale”, “we”, “us”) provides automated text messaging services to contractors and home service businesses. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how text messaging works.

SMS messaging, in plain language

We send text messages on behalf of the business you contacted. Messages come from a registered business number.
You will only receive messages if you called that business, submitted a form, or otherwise reached out first.
Message frequency varies and depends on your interaction with the business.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to opt out. You will get one confirmation and nothing after that.
Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell your phone number or share it for anyone else's marketing.

Information we collect

When you contact a business that uses Rethvale, we may process:

Contact details such as your name, phone number and email address
Your enquiry, meaning the service you asked about and any message you sent
Message and call records, including timestamps and delivery status
Consent records, meaning how and when you agreed to be contacted

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry and pass it to the business you contacted
To send appointment confirmations, reminders and follow ups relating to your job
To ask for feedback after work is completed
To honour opt out requests and keep a record proving we did

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Website analytics and cookies

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. It sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view, roughly how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, the site or search that referred you, and an approximate location based on your IP address.

We use this only to see which pages are working and where visitors come from. We do not use it to identify you personally, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not combine it with the enquiry information described above.

If you would rather not be counted, you can install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, use your browser's Do Not Track or private browsing mode, or block cookies in your browser settings. None of this affects your ability to use the site or contact us.

The messaging service itself does not use cookies. Nothing on this page changes how your text messages are handled.

Who we share it with

Your information is shared with the business you contacted, because they are the ones doing the work. We also use service providers who help deliver the messages, including Twilio for messaging and Google for storage and website analytics. They process data on our behalf under their own terms and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We may disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and message records are kept for as long as the business remains a customer of Rethvale, and for a reasonable period afterwards. Opt out records are kept indefinitely, because we need them to make sure we never message you again.

Your choices

Stop messages by replying STOP to any text. This is immediate and permanent.
Ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
Ask us to delete it, and we will unless we are required to keep it.

Children

Our services are for businesses and their customers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
