We built this because we kept watching good crews lose work they had already won.
Not to bad quotes. Not to cheaper competitors. To a phone that rang while somebody was up a ladder.
What we do
Rethvale runs the follow up side of a contracting business so the owner can stay on the tools. When a call gets missed, the caller gets a text back before they have put their phone down. When a lead comes in through a website form, they hear from you in seconds instead of tomorrow. When a job is finished, the customer gets asked how it went, and the happy ones get pointed at your Google page.
All of it runs on one registered business number. There is no app to install, no dashboard you have to remember to check, and nothing new to learn. It reaches you as a normal text message on the phone already in your pocket.
How it started
It started as one small thing: a form on a website that sent a text the moment somebody filled it in. That was it. But the pattern underneath it turned out to be the whole problem in the trades.
A contractor is not sitting at a desk. They are under a sink, on a roof, in a crawlspace, or driving between the two. The phone rings and it genuinely cannot be answered. By the time they climb down and call back, the customer has already worked their way down the search results and booked somebody else. The work was never lost on price or quality. It was lost on timing.
So the one small thing grew. Missed calls got their own answer. Emergencies got escalated. Finished jobs turned into reviews, and unhappy customers got caught before they ever reached a review page. Every piece got added because the piece before it exposed another hole.
What we believe
- Automation opens, a human closes. The moment a customer replies, everything automated stops and the conversation goes to you. A robot should never talk over you to your own customer.
- You keep your number. The one on your truck and your business cards stays exactly as it is. We add a line that forwards to you, we do not replace anything.
- Never bury a bad review. If somebody rates a job poorly, they do not get sent to Google, and you get told immediately so you can call them. Fixing it beats hiding it.
- Permission, always. We only ever text people who contacted you first. Every message says how to stop, and stop means stop, permanently.
- You should be able to see it working. Once a month you get one page showing calls recovered, leads captured and reviews earned. If it is not paying for itself, you should know that too.
The mark is an arrow that loops back on itself, because that is the entire job. The call that leaves comes back. The lead that went quiet gets picked up again. Nothing is allowed to just drift off.
Where we work
We are based in Sioux Falls and we work with contractors and home service businesses across the United States. Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, cleaning, landscaping, and anyone else who runs their business out of a truck and cannot always get to the phone.
See what you are missing.
Fifteen minutes on the phone. We work out what a missed call actually costs you, and you decide from there.
